About our Featured Crew:
Referee #105 Dick Hantak has been in the NFL for over 20 years and has the second longest tenure among active referees. (McElwee holding the record) He started as a BJ, now called FJ, and worked a Super Bowl and was promoted to referee. Since becoming a referee he's worked another Super Bowl and the playoffs many times. This is also his last season in the NFL after many years as an outstanding official in the NFL.
Umpire #92 Carl Madsen is in his 5th season. He's worked the playoffs a few times since entering the league.
Head Linesman #54 George Hayward is among the best in the league. He's no stranger to playoff games and is in his second consecutive season with Hantak. He worked his third career Championship round game last season.
Line Judge Darryll Lewis #130 missed almost two full NFL seasons due to injury. After an exhausting recovery, he's back on the field. He had worked the playoffs prior to being injured and worked after returning last year.
Side Judge #116 Mike Weatherford is in his first year in the NFL.
Field Judge #58 Jim Saracino has been in the NFL for a few years and even worked NFL Europe training as a referee before he gave it up. He has worked the playoffs several times.
Back Judge #113 Don Dorkowski is the only other official on the crew with a Super Bowl ring. He got his in '98 after working Super Bowl XXXII in San Diego. Last year he worked the NFC Championship game as well.
