Ed Hochuli was born in Milwaukee and now resides in Arizona since 1976.  He graduated high school from Canyon del Oro High School and University of Texas El-Paso and University of Arizona for his college education.  Ed is an lawyer.  He began officiating in 1973.  He moved up to the division I level as a line judge with the Big Sky Conference (1980-1985) and the Pac-10 (1983-1989) as a line judge and back judge.  Joined the NFL as a back judge in 1990 and moved to the referee position in 1992.  He was awarded Super Bowl XXXII and was the alternate at Super Bowl XXXI.  He also worked the 1995 NFL Championship game and the 1998 AFC Championship game.  He was also elected president of the Professional Football  Referee's Association May 1, 1999 and he will serve a three year term.   Ed is married and has 5 children and 1 step child.
